Muslim World League launches AI ethics initiative in New York

The Muslim World League launched an AI ethics initiative at the UN General Assembly in New York with UN support. The event focused on artificial intelligence ethics from religious and civilisational perspectives. Participants recommended developing an Alliance of Civilisations Code of Ethics for Artificial Intelligence and forming a committee of religious leaders and technology experts.

Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa announced plans to launch an AI laboratory in cooperation with technology companies to develop programmes for religious, educational and humanitarian institutions.
