Chief Executive Officer of the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE), Dr. Mohammed Mubarak Bin Dainah held the first virtual session of Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) program (Tarabot 2).
The program aims to establish a platform for citizens to introduce legislation and development initiatives to improve services with those concerned.
The meeting reviewed environmental decisions such as cooling units management, plastic waste management, radiation and nuclear technology usage and its emergency plan, afforestation project, pearl industry and a virtual exhibition.
Dr. Bin Dainah said that the council headed by His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, personal representative of His Majesty the King and Chairman of SCE, and under his directives and continuous follow-up, all efforts are made to protect and preserve the environment, natural resources and wildlife, which is concerned with implementing all plans, studies, programs and projects that it includes preserving the natural and human life in Bahrain, working to sustain its elements, preserving its resources and developing them for future generations.
He affirmed on the steadily principles taken by Bahrain for sustainable development that ensure providing citizens and residents their needs for a decent life, as providing infrastructure, protecting the environment and preserving natural resources.
