Diyar Al Muharraq, one of the largest real estate developers in the Kingdom of Bahrain, includes extensive landscaped and park areas in its masterplan, to create a healthy lifestyle. In line with the Kingdoms’ efforts to developing an agricultural environment and green areas around the Kingdom, Diyar Al Muharraq has announced the completion of the first phase of highway landscaping including the increase of green areas within the city.
Phase one of the project will be completed by the end of November, allowing residents and visitors to enjoy a clean and healthy outdoor environment as the weather improves. This initial phase includes, in addition to the landscaping, the installation of benches, and waste collection bins. It also includes a fully automated irrigation system, which preserves the green areas while eliminating the need for manual labor. The automated irrigated system can be programmed to operate anytime and only when required, as to improve the efficiency of water usage.
Diyar Al Muharraq’s masterplan was designed to reduce both energy consumption and carbon emissions, while promoting the concept of sustainability by taking into account the three key elements, social, economic, and environmental.
