Dr. Al-Jalahma is a keynote speaker at the BDFEX Health Care Investment Forum


The organizers of BDFEX, the first forum for business development in the health sector, announced that Dr Mariam Al Jalahma, CEO, National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA), will be a keynote speaker at the event.

This event will take place under the patronage of His Excellency Lieutenant General Doctor Sheikh Mohamed Bin Abdullah, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health, on October 23 and 24, 2019.

The International Business Consultancy and Development Company (PROACT), and United Gulf Industrial Consortia (UGICON) will organize the event.

During her participation in the forum, Dr. Al Jalahma will review the efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain to achieve comprehensive health coverage and provide the best health services.

Dr. Al-Jalahma also tackles aspects of NHRA since its establishment in 2009, and the efforts of the authority in the institutional development of the health sector in the Kingdom, both in terms of monitoring the application of occupational systems and health services and developing them in its governmental and private sectors Bahrain.

The participation of Dr. Al-Jalahma in BDFEX is in line with the efforts made by the Kingdom of Bahrain to attract more investments in the health and medical sector and coincide with the adoption of the Health Insurance Law and the effective implementation of the National Health Insurance Program, which will put the Kingdom on the threshold of a new phase of excellence and leadership in the development of health services system in the interests of all citizens and residents in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

BDFEX Forum aims to reinforce the local content of healthcare sector by providing new technologies and investments to achieve excellence and sustainable development in health sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia as well.

Moreover, the Forum aims to create new jobs in the industry and enhance its added value by encouraging more investment in both small and medium enterprises and linking entrepreneurs with investors.

It is worth mentioning that Bahrain is known for being the first destination for many Saudis who would like to receive various treatment services. However, the same applies to Bahraini citizens who prefer to visit clinics and hospitals in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia in particular.
