Manama, Aug. 11 (BNA): The Shura Council has saluted Bahraini youth on the International Youth Day, maked worlwide on August 12, under the theme «Safe Spaces for Youth».
In a statement marking the occasion, the Shura Council expressed deep pride in the Bahraini youth, and appreciation of their landmark achievements, locally, regionally and internationally.
Bahraini youth’s distinction and achievements are the fruitful outcome of the constant support and care they enjoy from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, citing the royal confidence in the importance in embracing and empowering youngsters to ensure their effective contribution to the nation-building process, the statement said.
HM the King’s pioneering Reform Project has paved the way for building a new generation whose members enjoy leadership skills, and are capable of assuming responsibilities and attaining achievements in various fields, it added.
The Shura Council valued highly the efforts exerted by the government, under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, to empower Bahrain youth and enable them to play their role in society through providing them with the best services and means to develop their skills.
In this regard, the council lauded the advanced level reached by Bahraini youth in various fields in which they succeeded in showcasing their distinguished leadership skills and ability to attain the best results, which reflected positively on the kingdom’s development process.
The Shura Council, in its statement, also lauded the tremendous efforts exerted by the Representative of HM the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to support Bahraini youth and empower them, through the launch of sports, cultural, humanitarian and scientific initiatives aimed at raising their awareness, strengthening belonging to the nation and increasing their participation in the kingdom’s progress.
The council paid similar tribute to the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, President of the Bahrain Athletics Association and Honorary President of the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, for his distinguished role in caring for Bahraini youth in various fields through creating suitable conditions for them to showcase their creativity.
