Bahrain Airport Services Company (BAS) operates in accordance with a strategy based on enhancing the working environment, activating the principles of competitiveness, applying work ethics and evaluating competencies. BAS is dedicated to education and training, and uses them as tools to invest in human capital.
The total number of participants in the training programs reached more than 2800 trainees in the first half of 2018 to participate in the training workshops which amounted to 396. With the reference to the increase in the number of trainees beneficiaries compared to last year, where trained in the same period 1300.
Senior Manager Learning & Development, Mr. Khalid Al Bastaki, said: “BAS emphasizes the importance of investing in human capital and creating a working environment that guarantees trust and fairness through the necessary training and qualification for employees, which will positively affect performance and productivity”.
He added that one of the most prominent certificates presented by the learning and Training Department in the company during the past half year is the Certificate of Business Administration in the third level and the IATA Diploma in the ground operations of management.
Al Bastaki also noted that BAS also receives trainees from outside the company and that training courses are available through the website. Anyone who wishes to join these courses and benefit from them can apply for study and training.
